Call to Meeting - The 19th LD Meeting & Nominating Convention, Saturday, March 13th, at 3:00pm, Pacific County Courthouse Annex, 1216 W. Robert Bush Drive, Southbend, WA - The nominating convention for the 19th LD legislative positions will be followed by a 19th LD central committee meeting to which we have invited candidates for the 3rd congressional district. Krist Novoselic has resigned as secretary/treasurer for the 19th LDCC so this office will need to be filled.  2010 dues of $5 will be due at this time.  Join the meeting and then go to the crab feed.

This is the oldest political function in Washington State, now in its 85th year.  

 And it's a really fun event, too!  A silent auction will continue through the evening.  Tickets are $25.

Call to Meeting - The 24th LD Nominating Convention, Saturday, April 10th, Polish Hall - The nominating convention for the 24th LD legislative positions will occur during the Grays Harbor County Democratic Convention/Caucuses.  After the delegates are selected in the 24th LD caucus, the PCOs from the 24th LD will meet to vote on the nominations for the legislative positions up for election this year (House of Representations, Positions 1 & 2).  Only those PCOs living in the portion of the 24th LD within the boundaries of Grays Harbor County need attend.  PCOs living in Clallam and Jefferson counties will have separate nominating conventions at their respective county events.  The votes from each of these nominating conventions will be collected and tallied by 24th LD Chair Bill Miller.  The results will be posted at this website after the tally has been certified.   


Pancakes! - April 10th at 9am, Polish Hall - Prior to the County Convention & Legislative District Caucuses we'll be serving pancakes and other breakfast goodies.  Of course, we appreciate your donation.


Grays Harbor County Democratic Convention/Caucuses - April 10th at 10am, Polish Hall - The County Convention and Legislative District Caucuses sign-in will start at 10am.

  • Legislative District Caucuses:  We will break into separate caucuses for each of the legislative districts in Grays Harbor County (the 19th, 24th, and 35th) and elect our alloted delegates and alternates to go onto the state convention.  At the state convention, the delegates will help draft the state's Platform.  You may run for delegate or alternate if you are (1) willing to publicly declare that you are a Democrat,  and (2) both reside in and are registered to vote within the boundaries of both the legislative district and within Grays Harbor County.  You may also vote on delegates/alternates if you meet the same criteria.

      • County Convention:  Anyone who is willing to publicly declare they are a Democrat and both reside in and are registered to vote within Grays Harbor County may participate in our convention including voting on resolutions and platform.

Nominating Convention - May 6th at 7pm, Polish Hall - PCOs will select the Democratic nominees for county-level positions scheduled for election in 2010 (Commissioner-District 3, Prosecutor, Sheriff, Clerk of Court, Auditor, Assessor, Treasurer, Coroner).


Family 4th Picnic - July 1st, time and location to be announced - Food, games & fun for the whole family.  Check back for more details.


Endorsement Meeting- July 17th at 9am, Polish Hall - PCOs and members of the Grays Harbor Democrats will interview candidates to determine who receives endorsements and distribution of campaign contributions.
